091209 - 091216 China~Hangzhou,Wuxi,Suzhou,Shanghai,Yiwu,Dongyang,Huangshan

Day 1
On this beautiful day, hafta exit my dream world at 4am and enter the reality world for the flight to Hangzhou, China. Took 5 hours and arrived at about noon. Hangzhou is one of the most prosperous cities in China. The houses are all 4 or 5 storeys.

West Lake - supposed to be very beautiful but not during this time of the year.

BLACK colour corn. When you bite it, it feels like biting on glutinous rice. It has this sticky feeling but not much taste.
Maple tree
Lots of fishy.
Mr. Snail here is icy cold.

Day 2
Mei Jia Wu Tea Village - a place where you can find the Imperial 'Dragon Well' Green Tea.

No water in the teapot.
I got no idea what the phrase means.

Next destination: Wuxi (无锡)
Three Kingdoms City - the TV series The Romance of the Three Kingdoms was filmed here.

Went for boat ride in Taihu Lake - 3rd largest freshwater lake in China, it is 3 to 4 times the size of Singapore.
Yup! I do listen when the tour guide is explaining. The only parts which I din pay attention to is when they start telling historical/legendary stories.

Day 3
Lihu lake. This trip includes so many lakes. *faint*
The trees, like humans can't stand the cold weather. Then they wrapped them up like mummies. lols
The plants at the back are so nicely cropped. Like a bed.

Next destination : Suzhou (苏州)

Han Shan Temple

The Lion Forest Garden

Then, we went to a shopping street - Guan Qian Street. And after dinner, visit another lake. Then, back to hotel.

Day 4
Next destination: Shanghai
People's Square (人民广场)
The building at the back is Shanghai Museum. We planned to enter but the line for the tickets is seriously too long and so, we left.

Chenghuang Miao (Temple of the Town God)
I thought we are visiting a temple but instead it is the shopping street in front that we are brought there for. That's weird.

Renovation going on.

Boat cruise along the Huangpu River for Shanghai night view.
The top of the two tall buildings are lost in the mist.

The Oriental Pearl Tower

We went up the Oriental Pearl Tower to 263m which is the sightseeing floor.
The outdoor observation deck with glass floor. Too bad it is at night and very misty that we can barely see below. If we can see the land below totally it will be so cool I want to try that. XD
KL Tower is 3rd from the right.

Wax Museum at the ground floor of the Oriental Pearl Tower - It shows the development/history of Shanghai.
Quite creepy sometimes. If a person stand there and didn't move for few seconds you will think that is a wax person but then the person suddenly move and you got scared by him. haha

We are so pink. lols

Day 5

Nanjing Road

Next destination: Yiwu (义乌)
There's nothing much to do in Yiwu.

Day 6

The pandas are made of bamboo.

Next destination: Huangshan (黄山) - UNESCO world heritage site.

Day 7
It started snowing when we are in the bus on the way up the mountain. The luck is on our side.
It snow so heavily that we have to buy raincoats, the rubber casing to prevent our shoe from getting wet and nail shoes as the ground will be slippery.

Have to wear lots of layers of clothes and pants b'cos it is cold on top of the mountain. I look like a dumpling. lols XD
No snow on the ground yet. Seems like me getting crazy, soaking in the heavy rain.

The snow is covering my face.

Initially, the few-inches-thick layer of snow was smooth and nice but I have the urge to mess it up. haha
Yippeee! Finally free from the raincoat. Have to take off the raincoat and nail shoe to go indoor for lunch. Ma fan betul. And I never wear back the raincoat. Chucked it into the dustbin.
After lunch, it sort of stop snowing and the snow has started to melt a little so the ground is more slippery.
The water from the roof and water pipe is frozen already.

Then, we travelled back to Hangzhou. After dinner, went to Hefang Street.

This is a shop that sell Chinese medicine. It is a shop that is different from any other shop there.
The interior is quite special.

The waiters of this restaurant dressed up like how people from the olden days dress.
Lovely lanterns

Day 8
Going back home day.
